Lori Greiner, born as Lori Husman, is an American businesswoman and a well-known television persona, acting as a Shark or investor at the ABC Business Reality TV show, Shark Tank since 2009. In college she became fascinated with jewelry that was custom made. She continued to create and sell the jewelry until the day that she came up with an innovative idea of creating an earring case made of plastic. Then, to gauge the reaction of women people on the street Greiner demonstrated the item to. Eventually, she patent the item and started selling it through various channels both online and offline. They added other items. She has created and marketed more than 1000 successful products. She is also the holder of over 120 US as well as International Patents. Her sharp business instincts allow her to know in an instant whether a product has the potential to become "a she-too" as well. The result is that the vast majority of her items her company sells are extremely successful. An avid believer in "if you're fortunate enough to succeed, you have a responsibility to help others" and also, she has made annual donations to a diverse range of charitable organizations.
